Pow Wow: The 4th Annual Ky Native American Heritage Museum Pow Wow will be held Sept. 1-2.  St. John’s will be providing water to Pow Wow visitors on Saturday, Sept. 1st.  Volunteers interested in helping distribute water may contact Rev. Margaret for appropriate times.

Wednesday Evening: A celebration of Holy Eucharist will be offered at 6:00 pm.

Food Pantry: Please remember to bring non-perishable food items to the church for the Food Pantry.

Potluck: A potluck meal will be provided by the parishioners of St. John’s next Sunday, August 26th.  Join us in the Parish Hall for food and fellowship after the 11:00 service.  Don’t forget to bring your favorite food dish to share with others.

Diocesan Convention: The 116th Annual Convention of the Diocese reconvened for the election of the 7th Bishop of the Diocese on Saturday, August 18th at Christ Church Cathedral.  Delegates to the electing convention were Anne Day Davis, Jeff Davis, Donna Goff and Billy Hibbitts.

Vestry: The Vestry of St. John’s will meet following the 11:00 service.

Diocesan Convention: The 116th Annual Convention of the Diocese reconvenes for the election of the 7th Bishop of the Diocese on Saturday, August 18 at Christ Church Cathedral.  Registration is between 7:30am and 9:00am.  Delegates to the electing convention are Anne Day Davis, Jeff Davis, Donna Goff and Billy Hibbitts.

Wednesday Evening: A Holy Eucharist will be offered at 6:00 pm. This Wednesday, August 15, there will be no service at St. John’s. Instead, we will be joining St. Mary’s Middlesboro for a celebration of their patronal feast, St. Mary the Virgin, Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Food Pantry: Please remember to bring non-perishable food items to the church for the Food Pantry.

Daughters of the King: The Daughters of the King will meet in the parlor following the 11:00 service.

Diocesan Convention: The 116th Annual Convention of the Diocese reconvenes for the election of the 7th Bishop of the Diocese on Saturday, August 18 at Christ Church Cathedral.  Delegates to the electing convention are Anne Day Davis, Jeff Davis, Donna Goff and Billy Hibbitts.

Wednesday Evening: A Holy Eucharist & Service of Healing will be offered at 6:00 pm. We have been invited to join St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Middlesboro, for their patronal feast celebration of St. Mary the Virgin the next Wednesday, August 15, at 6:00 pm. The evening will include a Holy Eucharist presided by Bishop Chilton Knudsen, a BBQ and compline.

General Convention: The General Convention of the Episcopal Church will convene July5th through 12th in Indianapolis, Indiana.  A webcast of the convention may be accessed live or on demand at www.episcopalchurch.org

General Convention II: There will be a town meeting Saturday, July 14th in the Parish Hall at 10:30 with Bishop Chilton and others General Convention delegates for post-Convention reflections.

Hymn Sing: Parishioners of St John’s will be participating in a Hymn Sing on Wednesday evening, June 20th.  Come with a loud voice and your favorite hymns in mind as we make a joyful noise unto the Lord.
