About Us

St. John’s Episcopal Church is a Christian church within the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington serving the tri-county area of Laurel, Whitley, and Knox counties in southeastern Kentucky.

We are located at the corner of College and Engineer Streets, 701 Engineer Street in Corbin, Kentucky.

We are offering online and in-person worship services on Sundays at 11:00 am and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. See the details below.

Christmas Eve Holy Eucharist (Communion): 6:00 pm December 24

Christmas Day Morning Prayer: 9:00 am Saturday, December 25

First Sunday after Christmas: A Service of Lessons and Carols with Holy Eucharist – 11:00 am Sunday, December 26

Sunday Morning Discussion Group: Sundays, 10:00 am

Sunday morning worship: Sundays, 11:00 am (available online)

We will be worshiping indoors, masked, and socially distanced. The service will be available by Zoom. We are not posting a recorded version of the service on line because of copyright concerns and the challenges of editing out the music in a timely manner.

Al-Anon Group: Tuesdays, 7:00-8:00 pm (suspended)

Wednesday Evening Prayer: Wednesdays, 6:00 pm (available online)

We returned to in-person worship on Wednesday evenings on May 12. We will still offer a Zoom stream for those unable to attend in person.
