Letter to the People of the Diocese of Lexington from the Standing Committee

To the People of the Diocese of Lexington:

The Standing Committee of the Diocese of Lexington wants to hear from you about the future of Dr. Doug Hahn in relation to the Diocese of Lexington.

Please share your prayerful thoughts and insights about 1) the effect of Dr. Hahn’s suspension on you and your parish; 2) whether the integrity of the relationship between Dr. Hahn and the Diocese and its people can be restored (including why or why not); 3) the advantages and disadvantages of restoring the relationship; and 4) where you have experienced grace during this time.

From July 21 through September 15, you can do this by

1) Attending one of four Listening Sessions:

Thursday, July 21 at St. Michael’s, Lexington (2025 Bellefonte Drive, Lexington 40503, mail@saint-michaels.org)

Tuesday, July 26 at St. Paul’s, Newport (7 Court Place, Newport 41071, pauls.church@fuse.net) Wednesday, August 3 at St. John’s, Corbin (701 Engineer St., Corbin 40701, stjohnscorbin.org/contact-us)

Thursday, August 11 at St. Alban’s, Morehead (145 East 5th Street, Morehead 40351, stalbansmorehead@gmail.com)

To let us know you are coming, send an email to the church you will attend (or, if you’re going to St. John’s, Corbin, a “contact us” entry).

2) go to the diocesan website (www.diolex.org) and enter your responses to the questions posted there; or

3) complete the questionnaire available from your parish and send it to the address included there via postal mail.

The deadline for receiving responses is September 15, 2016.

Thank you for your continuing prayers.
